Born and raised in the Philadelphia area, and classically trained on the clarinet, Gannon picked up other instruments along the way, moving to Portland in 2005. On Free Throws, he once again deploys lyric-writing that is both sardonic and bittersweet — and also sings and plays piano, keyboards, drums, and the saxophone and clarinet.
